I guess I am a ever hopefully since I keep purchasing books by this author even though they never seem to live up to expectation. The premises of the book is good.But it is very repetitive. I don't need to be told over and over how the vampire abused her for centuries. Or how she couldn't make any choices/decisions for herself and many more repetitions. They even rehash the coversation they just had. If you eleminate all the comments/content the book is 1/3 of the length. This book would have been great if they expanded on her childhood or even the storyline itself instead of just repeating itself. The story just drags and drags. There is very little spark or things to keep you immersed in the book. Good story line with likable characters. Too much detail given for just about every little thing; who cares about the lineage of all the bad guys, etc. Over three pages of who was who's family line on bad guys? Really? I found my self skipping page after page of 'feelings'. I'm ok with reading that once or twice not every time the main characters get together. Something else to watch out for in all of these books is the junk at the end. Over ten percent of the book is a word glossary and other junk at the end. Your reading along and think you have more of the story to read, when wham it's ending and you have page after page of junk.(Sorry one of my pet peeves!)
